About Quillfire Sign & Graphic Quillfire Sign and Graphic was started in 1980 in Indianapolis, IN by a group of artists who attended a church dedicated to inner city ministries, shelters for the homeless and outreach to needy youth and families. Part of the proceeds from the business helped to fund these works, as well as to provide an outlet for church members’ creativity and to extend their desire to serve the community to the general public through a business mileu. Conscientious service and involvement in community welfare have remained objectives of the management and staff through all the years to the present. Until moving to its present location on Indianapolis' southside, the business was located in the historic Heron Morton district near downtown Indianapolis. The business has grown to serve a number of prominent builders and developers in the metropolitan area and surrounding townships. Many subdivisions display Quillfire’s unique and distinctive entrance markers and directional signage. The applications have gone from simpler formats to signage employing sandblasting and hand carving, masonry, limestone, iron work, fabricated metal letters and plaques, etc. Although Quillfire is a full service sign business, we have maintained a custom edge in both graphic design and sign fabrication. Quillfire has served a number of cities and towns throughout Indiana as well as municipal projects. Our signage warmly welcomes residents and visitors to such cities as Avon, Brownsburg, Franklin, Seymour, Edinburg and other town and cities. The artists and sign crafters of Quillfire also produced all of the exterior signage for the Indianapolis Zoo when it opened in 1987. The majority of this signage is still a recognizable and distinctive element of the public face of the zoo today. .
